What I Bring
A Clinician's Eye in Health Tech Consulting
I bring an active clinical perspective from someone who both sees patients and is simultaneously active in the health tech space. I consult with companies and health systems working in health technology from a current clinical vantage point. I understand both what clinicians actually need and what is being developed to meet those needs. Past engagements have included one-off advisory calls, operational work involving recruiting, workflows and stakeholder meetings, recorded educational content, SBIR grant writing support, and due diligence screening for venture capital firms. I have also helped individual clinicians transition from employed clinical work to private practice.
Business Consulting
Building a practice, on your own terms
I started a private practice immediately out of residency and have spent the years since figuring out, through a lot of trial and error and reading and iteration, how to run a sustainable independent clinical business. Whether you are thinking about starting a practice, growing one you have already built, or thinking through a transition to contract arrangements, locums, or full private practice, I am happy to work through it with you.
Speaking and Teaching
I enjoy attending conferences of like-minded thinkers
I have paid speaking experience across clinical and health tech audiences and have taught medical students and residents throughout my career. I speak on mental health topics including ADHD, general wellness, and motivation, and have spoken at conferences and events such as those run by HiTLab (hitlab.org) and MedStartr (medstartr.com), as well as physician communities including PMTFC (pointmetofirstclass.com). I was an active Clubhouse moderator during Covid and have served as a judge for multiple health tech pitch contests.
If you would like me to join you to speak on a particular topic, please reach out to discuss availability and compensation. I am a volunteer faculty member at the University of Washington and happy to discuss paid teaching opportunities.
